Rehabilitation and Orientation & Mobility Conferences

The National Association of Blind Rehabilitation Professionals, the National Blindness Professional Certification Board, and the Professional Development and Research Institute on Blindness of Louisiana Tech University jointly sponsor an annual and semi-annual conference which focuses on issues surrounding rehabilitation and Orientation and Mobility. These conferences have not only become the catalyst for providing continuing education to NOMC professionals in the field, but also introduce the methodology to the public and keep interested parties informed of the trends, research, and issues relevant to rehabilitation and teaching cane travel.

Key leaders and professionals working in the fields of rehabilitation and orientation and mobility address the important issues which form the foundation of research and curriculum development. The conferences are of particular interest to those currently working in the field of rehabilitation for the blind, students in professional preparation programs, those interested in travel training as a career, and those with general interest in rehabilitation for the blind.
